Ice

Ice

Ice is a block in Minecraft that spawns naturally in Snow Biomes. Ice is slippery, semi-transparent and has the same texture as glass, only less transparent. Ice can be easily destroyed without any tools, but a pickaxe works faster. Any tool with the silk touch enchantment can harvest Ice, and then can be placed anywhere. Ice will only freeze in Snow Biomes, and will melt anywhere else. Ice can be used to transport items quickly, since items slide across ice.

Uses

Ice hasnt got any main uses, but can be broken by the player to make water sources in snow biomes. Ice is mainly used to transport items faster, because items slide across Ice. If water is placed atop of ice, and an item is thrown, the item will travel faster.
